38. Simple on-demand rotation using a transfer unit

By combining a turn cam with a right-angle transfer unit, a product can be easily rotated on demand from SSL to LSL (or vice versa).

The operation is as simple as it is effective: when the right-angle transfer unit is not activated, the box passes along the turn cam and retains its original orientation. When the transfer unit is activated, it takes over the product and changes its orientation.

In practice, this is an ideal solution for forming pallet layers, where boxes may or may not need to be rotated depending on the stacking pattern and desired cycle time.
