15. Timing belt conveyors as alternative to chain conveyors

When SSL transporting American pallets, we normally choose chain conveyors.
This is necessary because these pallets have notches at the bottom, which means they cannot be transported over rollers.

For this application, however, an additional challenge arose: the end customer wanted to be able to take the pallets out with a hand pump truck.
To avoid making the ramp unnecessarily long, we looked for a solution that kept the system height as low as possible.

By switching to timing belts, we were able to reduce the overall frame height to just 90 mm, with an adjustment range of 55 mm.
In this way, we created an efficient, reliable and user-friendly solution.
