Chain materials & accessories

There is a wide variety of material chain (also called modular belts) and accessories. Frequently used materials are:

  • polypropylene
  • polyethylene
  • acetal
  • polyamide

Each material has its properties such as temteratures, wear resistance and chemical resistance. Chain materials are diveded into straight chain material for straight sections and chain materials that are suitable for curved conveyors (Radius belts). Straight belts

The diversity of chains is the greatest at straight sections. The differences are mainly in:

  • stitch (for example 0,3", 0,5", 1", 1,5", 2", 2,5")
  • openings in the chain
  • surface structure
  • build in accessories like wheels or grip modules

There are different accessories available for the modular chain materials. They are not suitable for every chain. The accessories can be divided into:
